Varicose Veins Symptoms

The important thing to remember here, before you read the symptoms about varicose veins, is that not all people that have varicose veins have symptoms. In fact, a lot of people say they never had any symptom of varicose veins, but noticed they still had it in their legs. However, some of the varicose vein symptoms we are going to talk about now could be signs that you have or are getting varicose veins. Do remember that varicose veins does not offer any health problems. There is nothing that you have to worry about. However, a lot of people still seek a cure for it, because they do not like the way it looks. So once again, just because you do not have pain or discomfort, does not mean that you do not have varicose veins.

The first symptoms of varicose veins could be a heavy feeling in your legs. Some people have even said that it can feel like a burning or throbbing feeling. Sometimes people even say that varicose veins symptoms feel like muscle cramps and swelling in their legs themselves. One key thing to look for here is if this is something that happens a lot. You would also notice that it tends to get a lot worse when you have been sitting or standing for a long time. This is, of course, going to make your legs feel even worse! These problems come about because of poor circulation that could be caused by the varicose veins. However, most of the time, people do not notice any pain, because the veins that are affected by varicose are on the outside. Most of the veins that deal with moving blood are deeper in the legs, and thus, are not affected at all.

Others say that varicose vein symptoms can also feel like itching around one or more of your veins in your legs. Also for this, remember that the veins do not always have to be in your leg. varicose veins are much more common in your legs, but they can occur in other places as well. Some other things that can be symptoms of varicose veins would be skin ulcers. Of course, the skin ulcers tend to form more around your ankles. However, if this is the cause, then you have a very bad case of varicose veins, and it could be a severe form of vascular disease. If you have skin ulcers around your ankles, you need to get immediate attention from your doctor.

Also, keep in mind that spider veins are much like varicose veins, but are a little bit different. The spider veins are found usually a little closer to the surface of your skin. Not only that, but spider veins are something that can also appear on your face. Overall, varicose veins are nothing that you are going to have to worry about. There are some very bad cases that have to be looked at by a doctor, but for most cases, there is nothing to worry about. The only reason why you need to bring it up to a doctor is if you want them removed for you.
